We were visited by Chrissie’s Owls on Tuesday 15th November.
Children were delighted to see a very hungry Barn Owl called Nelly fly around the hall to get some food. She was very good and showed off her silent flight until she was ‘fed up’ (full of food not bored!).
We also saw Reuben a very lazy Eagle Owl who wouldn’t do anything apart from sit on the chair or on Chrissie’s arm!! He was very lazy but also very beautiful.
We have been learning about owls in food chains and have even investigated owl pellets to see what they eat!!
Haydon Wick Primary School was judged by Ofsted to be outstanding in all areas. The areas are quality of teaching, achievement of pupils, leadership and management and behaviour and safety of pupils. To celebrate this achievement the pupils enjoyed some fun and games on the school field, whilst the parents enjoyed cream teas served by the School PTA. The photographs were kindly taken by Steffen Milsom Photography.
