The closing lines to our recent production of ‘Are we nearly there yet’ sum up the current state of mind in Hedgehogs class. It has been hard work learning songs and words and then putting it all together but it made a fantastic performance and we are looking forward to watching it ourselves.
The production was put together in three weeks and we have been busy doing other work before and between the rehearsals.
Particular highlights were the visit from Nellie the Barn Owl and Reuben the Indian Eagle Owl, along with their carer, Chrissie, and the day we investigated the contents of owl pellets.
We have also been learning about how some plants grow from bulbs as well as seeds, and we hope to find some carers for our hyacinths which may flower over Christmas.
Children in Need day was well supported with lots of unusual schoolwear.
A highlight of the school’s winter displays is Hedgehogs class winter tree poems and paintings, not on view in the hall but appreciated by those who see it!
We wish you a happy and peaceful Christmas and new year.
