Term 6 started with a massive celebration of the year so far in Hedgehogs class. We were the last class to do our class assembly, apart from the Jaguars and Tigers play, and it was a good one. Our TV presenters were fantastic and the royal characters were magnificent but the main effect was of a terrific team effort with everybody contributing well.
We can tell the songs were good because the class was still singing enthusiastically after a couple of weeks’ practice.
We learned about Albrecht Durer and admired his woodcuts and paintings, including ‘Great piece of turf,’ then we created our own watercolour pictures of wild plants. I was very impressed with the quality of the work.
Science this term has included learning about light and shadows. As well has creating a record of the pattern of our shadows over a day, we also had fun creating some very strange shadows!
See the Hedgehog entrants for the ‘Bling your bike’ competition in the gallery below. Very creative!
Now we are almost at the end of term and so far Fun Fitness week has given us Hula Hooping and Street Dancing . We are looking forward to 5 other active experiences in the next few days.
We are enjoying our last week in Hedgehog class before moving on to new challenges. We wish everybody a happy summer and a refreshed start to the next school year.
