We continued with our Victorian topic by imagining we were trappers working down the coalmine in Victorian times. Mrs. Coate was really pleased with how well we used our imagination and with the powerful vocabulary we used too. You can see some of our writing in the gallery below.
Mr. Sawyer, our PE teacher, has been working with us this term, we have been practising all the different skills we need to play rounders.
During the term, we were visited by Dawn from the fire service who taught us all about fire safety, she even let us dress up! Have a look at the photos.
Kieran and Josh stepped into Mrs Coate’s shoes and delivered a brilliant computing lesson about Fake News, we all learnt a lot about how to spot fake websites. Well done boys!
In Science, we have been learning about Evolution and Inheritance. We each designed a plant or animal survivor for a different environment. Have a look at some of the photos below to see some of our creations.
We can’t talk about Term 5 without mentioning SATs. Mrs Coate was really proud of Year 6 whose behaviour and attitude throughout the whole week was excellent. We’ve worked really hard all year and hope we all get the results we deserve.
The term ended with the Year 6 residential to PGL. Look out for some photos in next term’s blog!
Now we’re looking forward to our topic about Mexico and the Maya in Term 6, as well as practising hard for our end of year performance.
