Mrs Pinkney and Mrs Cowley are so proud of the work that the Meerkats have produced this term. Their biographical writing about Captain Cook was full of wow words, great conjunctions, adverbs and clauses. They should be very proud of the progress they have made. They even worked hard at editing their work which is always a tricky job. Well done Meerkats.
We really enjoyed our trip to the Oxford natural history museum where we got to handle all kinds of rocks including rocks from volcanoes and outer space and we saw some really cool dinosaurs.
Check out the photos below where the pupils are creating sedimentary rocks including edible sedimentary and metamorphic rocks!
We were lucky enough to get in to see the Egyptian exhibits including some mummies. It was also lovely and sunny so our picnic was also really enjoyable.
For TWHF Arts festival this year we carefully produced Dutch food with salt dough. As part of our around the world topic some children chose to produce Aboriginal paintings for their pick and mix homework, others produced massive lists of homophones they had found.
As part of our Maths work on shape some children produced really sturdy 3-D shapes see in our photos below.
