Another busy and exciting term to end the year!
The children have worked so hard (as always!) to complete their learning about France- you will be surprised to hear what they know about the country, its landscape and its food! Our topic culminated in a ‘French food cooking and tasting day’, where the children researched recipes for two French dishes, which they then prepared and ate! It was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
During Literacy we have focused on J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit- the children have enjoyed reading this classic together in whole class guided reading sessions, taking on the voices of the many wondrous characters in the book.
Singing and dancing to The Water Cycle Song seemed to be the highlight of our Science learning this term, where we were investigating States of Matter and Properties of Materials.
Thank you to all who supported our Fete- the children were tremendous! They had organised all of the stalls themselves, and raised over £400 to go towards the development of our wildlife area.
The last week of term focussed on Sports, where we were able to try out various sports including Hoola Hoops, Golf, Kick Ball, Zumba and many more- good fun was had by all.
Thank you to the children of Otter Class for a wonderful year.
