Pupil Premium

Pupil premium is additional funding provided to schools for supporting more disadvantaged pupils to ensure they benefit from the same opportunities as all other children. There are three categories of children that qualify for pupil premium:

  • Children who are eligible for free school meals (FSM)
  • Looked after children or adopted children
  • Armed forces children

Pupil Premium

The school receives pupil premium funding, which is currently being used to provide the respective children with appropriate support to make the expected progress in their learning.

This is being used to fund:

  • 1 to 1 support for English and Maths
  • Subsidised residential trip in Year 6
  • Daily interventions by teaching assistants (small groups + 1 to 1 in and out of class)
  • Opportunities for FSM pupils to take part in extra curricular enrichment activities.
  • Employing an inclusion worker to give pastoral support to disadvantaged children and maintain our learning hub facility
  • Working with the teaching assistant in class.
