Well done Badgers for starting off the New Year so well and working hard again this term. Currently, we are enjoying learning about the Celts, Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. Our topic started off with excitement as we found evidence of dragons in the school. Huge footprints and a hatched dragon’s egg were discovered in the playground! Following this, we wrote instructions for ‘How to trap a dragon.’ During guided reading, we have been enjoying the text ‘How to train your dragon.’ This inspired us to write diary entries for Hiccup as he completed the task of catching and training a dragon for his initiation test so he could become part of the ‘Hairy Hooligan Tribe.’ Our writing was really imaginative and well structured.
Thank you so much for all your wonderful homework – we were incredibly impressed with the standard of work produced. We had a super variety of work to share in our homework celebration, including wonderful models of houses, coins, recipes, Anglo-Saxon place names and many more!
Badger class were also very lucky to enjoy two trips to Nova Hreod for a fun storytelling workshop and to watch an excellent performance of Sister Act. We’re looking forward to our next term and learning more about the Vikings.
