Our term got off to an explosive start as we started learning about volcanoes! We read the story ‘Escape from Pompeii’ and wrote lively adventure stories based on it. Following this, we wrote explanation texts about volcanoes using cohesive devices.
In Science we have been learning about ‘Properties of materials’ and investigated dissolving and separating materials.
During P.E. sessions we were lucky enough to have Premier Sports teaching us striking and fielding games. We practised our bowling techniques and played some games of rounders.
Congratulations to Badger class for working really hard on our class assembly! They all practised their lines really well and performed to the best of their ability, making us very proud.
We had a fantastic trip to Coleshill for an Earth Summit. Some members of our class created a presentation to share with everyone on the day – they were excellent! We found out ways in which we can help our environment which we have continued to think about back in the classroom by learning about plastic pollution. Now we look forward to another exciting term as we continue to learn about Italy and the Romans.
