Yet another busy term for Jaguar class! We continued with our topic related to Shakespeare’s play, Macbeth, by writing our own versions of Macbeth’s soliloquy : Is this a dagger I see before me …? We really enjoyed this piece of writing and you can see some examples of our work in the gallery below.
As well as writing, we did some artwork based on the changes in both Macbeth’s and Lady Macbeth’s characters between the beginning and the end of the play. We could use any combination of pastels, pencil crayons and watercolours to produce our pictures. We were really proud of the results. See some fabulous examples in the gallery below.
Miss Cox, our PE teacher, has been working with us this term, we have been practising all the different skills we need to play rounders. We can’t wait to try out our new skills in Term 6 (if the sun shines, that is!)
On Friday 18th May, we celebrated the marriage of Harry and Meghan by holding a picnic/garden party on the field, the weather was lovely and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
We can’t talk about Term 5 without mentioning SATs. Mrs. Coate was really proud of Year 6 whose behaviour and attitude throughout the whole week was excellent. We’ve worked really hard all year and hope we all get the results we deserve.
Now we’re looking forward to our topic about South America in Term 6, as well as practising hard for our end of year performance.
Oh, and we nearly forgot, we promised you some pictures from our Year 6 PGL visit at the end of Term 4. Have a look at what we got up to in the photos below.
See you in Term 6.
