Wow what a long but exciting term! In Term 6, we found out what life was like in Roman times. Our school trip to Chedworth was fabulous and a brilliant end to a busy term.
To raise money for the school, we all made Tic Tac Toe games. They sold very well and we enjoyed playing them.
We took part in a fund raising day of sports for Unicef – when we had to test our agility against an obstacle course designed by Mrs Walsh.
For the Arts Festival, we painted pictures in the style of Van Gogh and we received a ‘Highly commended’ rosette. What a talented bunch we are!
We enjoyed sports day, the children participated well and the weather was kind to us. Swindon MIND paid us another visit and we played a ‘How well do we know each other?’ game – turns out we know each other very well.
In English, the children wrote plays and stories based on ‘The Tempest’ by William Shakespeare.
Our class assembly was one of the highlights of the term. We are amazing actors and singers – Veni, vidi, vici!
In Science, we had fun mixing bicarbonate of soda and vinegar – good to watch but the room still smells a bit strange.
For homework, some of the children found out about Roman Gods and tried out Roman recipes – we even got to experience volcanoes erupting. They were all very proud of their projects and I would like to thank parents for your continued support.
Hope everyone has a lovely summer and see you in September. Mrs Deegan and Otter Class
