Jaguars Class Term 5

Term 5 seemed to fly by for the children in Jaguars class – especially for the Year 6 children. Firstly, a big well done needs to be said for all the children in Year 6! They all worked really hard preparing for their SATs exams and tried their very best during SATs week.

They also had an amazing time on their residential at Grittleton House. They were involved in some excellent activities including archery, body zorbing, team building games, an escape room puzzle, rock climbing and of course a camp fire night.

Year 5’s also had a brilliant week while the Year 6 pupils were away. Mrs Cowley led them through a STEM week with lots of focus on science. They completed investigations and studied mechanisms and looked into the far reaches of space!

In English we all produced some excellent writing – creating an adventure story based around our class book – ‘The Barnabus Project’. The level of technical skill needed for Year 5 and 6 to achieve age related expectations is very high and the pupils of Jaguars class always try their best to reach this high standard.
