Badger class have made a super start to 2019 and are enjoying learning about ‘Ancient Greece.’
In English, we have read a selection of myths and written poems based on ‘Pandora’s Box’ and written our own mythical story. Currently, we are learning about the features of newspaper reports and are writing our own news report based on ‘The Trojan War.’
In Science, we have enjoyed making complete circuits, drawing circuit diagrams and carrying out investigations about conductors and insulators and switches.
In PSHE we have been exploring ‘Dreams and Goals’ and have been thinking about the steps needed to reach their dream job. They have written letters to Ugandan pupils, some of which will be taken to Uganda by Mrs Gale.
To celebrate French day we enjoyed taking part in a carousel of activities in the hall including: using ipads to explore Linguascope, making amounts of euros, building the Eiffel tower from cubes and many more activities including tasting French biscuits! We have also been learning about how to describe physical appearances in French.
As part of Mental Health week we discovered ways to help keep ourselves happy and made posters for our classroom. We have also learnt about anti-bullying and ways to find help.
We have been very impressed with the quality of the children’s homework – thank you for coming in to see it.
We are looking forward to another exciting term ahead, continuing with our topic of ‘Ancient Greece.’ Enjoy your half term.
