Term five was a whirlwind of activity.
The first week back saw us practice and perform our class assembly to our parents. We really enjoyed performing and impressed the school with our singing too.
Once the assembly was done we started our new topic of ‘Around the world.’ We really enjoyed discovering how to use the atlases. We could have spent all day with our noses in them.
We had a great time studying ‘Flotsam’ by Davis Weisner. We have sketched items of flotsam, written stories based on the book and produced a fabulous display of our work.
In Maths, we have delved into fractions and learned about equivalent fractions, unit fractions, fractions of objects and numbers and ordered fractions. Phew!
We made some great progress in our music lessons and can now all play a variety of songs – Mama Mia being our favourite.
It’s been a very short term with two bank holidays but we’ve still managed to cram in a lot of learning!
Can’t believe we’re nearly at the last term of the year!
