The end of term 3 has come so quickly! We have been so busy learning new things that the 6 weeks has flown by.
The children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about Florence Nightingale and just seem to know so many facts now. They have been able to use this knowledge in their writing and have produced some super letters, diary extracts and non-chronological reports.
We carried the topic on in computing and produced some brilliant Powerpoint presentations showing the main facts about the Florenceās life. You can see them in the download links below.
In Science Traction Man has helped us think about materials and how to choose which material is most suited to an item. Next term he will be helping us learn about carrying out experiments on materials.
We are delighted with the progress the children have made in maths this term and are showing secure understanding of multiplication and division. Next term we will use this knowledge to help us with fractions.
As you may have noticed we have had an extra adult in to support us this term. Miss Painter is a student teacher who is completing her teaching practise with us and will not be in Squirrels until the end of the year. We are delighted to have her as part of our team and are very lucky to have another adult to support the children.
We hope everyone has a super half term holiday and we are looking forward to the next term and all the learning to come.
Many Thanks for all your ongoing support!
Mrs Johnson, Miss Osborne, Miss Painter, Mrs Clarke & Miss Kent
