Tigers Term 3 Class Update

Welcome back to our Tiger Class Update…

Since Christmas we have been learning all about the Victorians. We started by looking at Queen Victoria’s transformation from Princess to Queen. We wrote a diary from her point of view.

We have been watching and reading extracts of ‘Oliver Twist’ by Charles Dickens. We watched parts of ‘Oliver’ the musical and wrote an atmospheric piece of descriptive writing about Fagin in his den. In computing we have created a biography of Queen Victoria and have corresponded with her using email.

During ‘French Day’ we really enjoyed our session in the hall. We tasted French cheeses and bread, played online French games and built the Eiffel Tower from lego!

It was internet safety day as well this term and all the pupils have learnt about keeping safe online – some of the Tiger e-cadets produced and presented a great talk for the school and a session for grandparents as well!

PE this term has been very energetic – we have been doing circuit training in the hall and getting our hearts pumping!

At the end of term we showcased all the homework completed this term. Many Tigers used Victorian recipes to create Victorian cakes and treats (which were delicious!).
