Well, what an eventful year in Squirrels Class!
Despite all the challenges this year has thrown at us, we have had managed a brilliant year and we have been so impressed with all the resilient children!
Home learning was certainly a huge challenge but with our successful TEAMs lessons and the amazing support from everyone we managed it! The children impressed us so much with all the fabulous work they did, especially our work on The Great Fire of London and The Robot and the Bluebird.
We had a fantastic return to school and produced amazing writing about Star Wars and we all had a blast and the Jedi Party of the Galaxy!
These past few terms we loved learning about Africa and the children produced some fantastic art work. We saw some very cheeky giraffes and very colourful water carriers. We were also super impressed with the writing produced about Akimbo the African adventurer. We followed his stories in our class reading books and then went on to describe Akimbo and plan and write our own stories for a new adventure. We have also researched Fair Trade and thought carefully about where in the world all our food comes from.
In Science as have become experts at taking care of plants! We loved planning and doing experiments to find out what they really need to grow healthy.
We have also really reading The Twits this term and have found both Mr and Mrs Twit horrible but funny. Mrs Twit was especially awful when she came into school! Do you know what you can find in Mr Twit's beard? Well Squirrels class do - just ask them!!
We really need to say how very proud we are of all the achievements in Squirrels class this year. We are so impressed with how far everyone has come and will be sad to see you go.
This year especially we need to say an enormous thank-you to you all the parents and carers for the brilliant ongoing support. This year would not have been such a success without you! A huge thank you also for all our lovely gifts and cards, you are all very kind!
Now please have an amazing and very well-deserved summer break! Enjoy the sunny holidays, your time with your family, have lots of fun and good luck for the next adventures in Year 3!
We'll miss you Squirrels 2020-2021
