Another busy term has past in Meerkat class. We had such fun reading ‘Diary of a killer cat’. Tuffy is such an interesting character. Meerkats wrote some really interesting newspaper reports about the antics that he got up to. We have also been reading Egyptian myths and have written some very good stories about Osiris.
In Maths we have been completing very tricky written adding and subtraction as well as working very hard on division with remainders. We have loved working with magnets and some of us even made magnets and compasses for our homework.
In our topic Ancient Egypt we have carefully drawn a map of Egypt and where the river Nile goes. We have also written fact files on our chosen Ancient Egyptian god. Writing in Hieroglyphics was trickier than we thought and it took a lot of concentration to draw them onto papyrus in Art.

In Computing we have been finding out what the Internet is and how to search it safely. On Safer Internet we looked especially at how to safely share photos. We were lucky to get a visit from the school ecadets who played a fun game with us about good and bad words.

Meerkat class produced some fabulous homework this term. It was great to see how much effort the children had put into their work and how carefully it was presented. Well done Meerkats!
